Why Am I Getting Excited for ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’?

I have watched Venom more times than I care to admit…okay I’ve seen it four times, and every viewing has never been all that fun. The beginning of the movie is boring, the end of the movie is boring, the only part that is somewhat entertaining is the middle section and that part doesn’t last very long.

The best thing about Venom however was the relationship between Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock (I still think Brock is written for an actor younger than Hardy but Tom just had to make it work, same goes for Michelle Williams’ character) and Venom so I figured the sequel, with all of that origin story nonsense out of the way, had the potential to be kind of fun.

Then I saw Woody Harrelson’s character, a psychopath named Cletus Kasady who seems to have some sort of connection to Eddie Brock (Brock probably got him put in the asylum where he’s being confined) and he’s just laughable to look at. He already looks ridiculous and his hair looks even worse.

So, with that in mind, I didn’t feel the urge to see this Venom sequel but after watching G.I. Joe Origins: Snake Eyes this July my philosophy for the rest of the year has been, “Oh what the heck. It can’t be worse than Snake Eyes.”

Venom 2 TV Spot Features New Looks at Carnage and Shriek | CBR

So, in roughly two weeks time Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be coming out and I’m kind of excited to maybe see it. The first reactions for the film have been positive but they were from fans at a premiere fan-event for the movie. The main thing that sprung from the fans’ first viewing of the movie was the hype over the post-credit scene. Apparently, it’s big!

And judging from the leaked intel, well, it’s a massive game-changer and will undoubtedly lead to some HUGE implications for the future of Venom.

So yeah, I’m kind of intrigued to see this film. Will I ultimately see it? I’m still twiddling my thumbs over that but ultimately, I can’t wait to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

The Tragic Reason Why the Multiverse May Be In ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Two days ago we got the official teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home and unsurprisingly, it garnered the most views for any trailer in 24 hours with 355.5 million views. That’s 60 million more than the views Avengers: Endgame trailer got in 24 hours and that used to hold the record.

The trailer teased a lot of interesting things but one thing that is very clear is that it will include the multiverse. And have a theory why. Hold on to your butts. I’m about to go dark.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD!

The ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer Is Finally Here!

After months of clamoring for the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer it is finally here. I have some thoughts but first, here it is.

I’m first going to start with the obvious positives.

A) Doctor Strange is back, has turned the lobby of the Sanctum Sanctorum into Antarctica (lol), and now the multiverse has been opened thanks to Peter not being able to stop talking. That’s totally on brand for Peter’s character and is definitely hilarious.

B) We’re totally about to get the Sinister Six and I am here for it.

C) I love Peter and MJ.

Okay, those are the pros. Here come the cons…

I Can’t Believe the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer Leaked

It happened. After Sony and Marvel Studios withheld the highly-anticipated trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home for too long it finally leaked online and it is everywhere. Marvel Studios tried to take it down before people could get their hands on it but unfortunately, that didn’t work.

I can literally say, fuzzy though it was, that I’ve seen the teaser trailer and yeah, it looked pretty cool. I won’t go into details about what I managed to see but it’s definitely exciting nonetheless.

Of course, the internet is already running rampant with fans either still awaiting the trailer or, having seen it, laughing at the implications for the leakers once Sony and Kevin Feige gets a hold of them. It’s honestly a shame because no one wanted this to happen. We all wanted to see it the right way but it’s taken too long and now the “surprise” has been ruined.

I’m expecting the trailer to drop tomorrow considering that there’s word that the trailer will drop tonight at CinemaCon and then will drop publicly tomorrow. If this doesn’t happen it’ll get kind of ridiculous because literally, the trailer is out there for the world to see so they might as well stop playing games.

Have you seen the trailer? If not, are you excited to see the trailer? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.

Why Does ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Look Exactly Like ‘Venom’?

Venom was the 2018 box-office success that I don’t think anyone expected it to be. It nearly made a billion dollars and ultimately revealed to Sony Entertainment that fans were enthusiastic on their take on Venom and his origin story.

I’ve watched the movie, maybe four times, and each time I have found it somewhat enjoyable but not that good. Tom Hardy gives an inspired performance as Eddie Brock/Venom but it’s clear the character wasn’t really written for an actor his age.

Still, he did his job and made Venom likable, the movie earned a sequel, and now we’re finally getting a chance to see the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Here it is.

I saw this trailer and yeah, the beginning made me laugh, but then the trailer kind of devolved into crafting a storyline almost identical to the one for Venom.

Woody Harrelson looks ridiculous but at least his hair isn’t as wacky. The CGI for Venom and Carnage still looks kind of iffy and the story looks appropriately cheesy. I won’t be going to see this in the movie theater because I’m not that interested but I am interested to see it eventually at home.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day.

I Can’t Stop Talking About ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’

Lately I’ve been very into Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse again since it started coming on FX and since I’ve seen it three times in the past two weeks or so I figured I might as well revisit this post which perfectly sums up my adoration of this movie which has now become my favorite animated film of all time! Enjoy.

The trick to Into the Spider-Verse isn’t the story, the story is actually rather basic, nor is it the music (which is pretty great by the way.) There’s something else to this film that has me going back for more and that is the absolutely stunning animation.

The movie melds at least a half dozen genres in one movie and it is mind-blowing. From being uncannily realistic looking at times to appearing like a strip right out of a comic book and even having the cartoony look of a Looney Tunes cartoon mixed with manga animation plus some truly psychedelic visuals can leave one’s brain scrambled in sheer awe.
