After the D23 Special Look for The Rise of Skywalker I was so excited, I went back and watched the trailers for The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi and, of course, The Rise of
Skywalker in an expectedly awesome Star Wars trailer marathon. It was so much fun. So fun, in fact, that I wanted to write about it. So, with no further delay, here’s an analysis of the correlating Star Wars sequel trilogy teasers.
The Force Awakens
When this teaser came out for The Force Awakens we hadn’t seen anything related to Star Wars that was new since 2005’s Revenge of the Sith. In that ten-year span being a Star Wars fan was fun but all we had were the six George Lucas films, which were awesome, but old news.
Seeing this teaser, I can still feel the emotions I had while watching it for the first time, especially when seeing Kylo Ren for the first time with that amazing crossguard lightsaber.
This teaser was designed simply to display in a short amount of time, Star Wars is back! And the Millennium Falcon at the end is, of course, the icing on the cake.
As the logo displays itself in the classic yellow color the music is bright and adventurous. The teaser is designed to inspire pure elation and joy and even now, years after its release, it still manages to bring a smile to my face. Continue reading Comparing the ‘Star Wars’ Sequel Trilogy Teasers
