I don’t usually jump onto fan casting bandwagons but the recent announcement of Michaela Coel joining Black Panther: Wakanda Forever got me thinking, what if she is playing Storm? And here’s some fan art to only make that potential fan cast come to life.
Wow, wow, wow, wow. This is amazing! Storm is already one of my favorite superheroes, always has been in fact, but this fan art makes Michaela Coel look so cool (and natural) in the role. I hope Storm is actually in the film, which I highly doubt considering that it seems like we won’t be getting any X-Men in the MCU anytime soon but…we’ll see.
I thank you for reading and i hope you have a great day.
Considering that I’ve been watching so many X-Men movies lately I had to revisit this post for this week’s Who’s Your Favorite? Enjoy!
(My X-Men knowledge is still somewhat limited so I will be listing the characters I am most familiar with.)
Cyclops has always been a cool character because of his interesting eye beam ability and the same can still be said from this most recent rendition of the character. While I never knew that much about the X-Men I still knew who Cyclops was when I was a kid and that shows the impact this hero had on me as a child. I can’t wait to see who will bring him to life this time around.
Nightcrawler is pretty cool, actually. His teleporting abilities are pretty fantastic but it’s when he turns into a deadly wrecking machine that he really gets his chance to shine. I’ve only seen him in the newer X-Men movies so I’m interested to eventually see him in the older X-Men films as well.
Mystique is easily one of the coolest concepts of a character in the superhero world. The fact that she’s this shape-shifting alien-ish sort of being is remarkable and it’s what makes her so intriguing. I like to think of her as the blue Black Widow.
It should be interesting to see what sort of cameos we may see as she shapeshifts into current or previously deceased MCU characters when she appears in later films.
Another week has passed and it’s time to see which two pieces make the cut for this Wednesday. Enjoy!
A Painting of a Loth-Wolf
March 5 has been dubbed by Star Wars fans as #RebelsRemembered Day in honor of Star Wars: Rebels, one of the best television shows I’ve ever seen. On that day, my sister decided to commemorate the moment with this stunning picture of a Loth-Wolf. I wasn’t the only one blown away by the piece, many were utterly stunned, including Freddie Prinze Jr. (he voices Kanan Jarrus in Star Wars: Rebels) who happened to like the piece on Twitter. (😱)
So yeah, I had to highlight this incredible rendition of a Loth-Wolf this week.
The Power of Storm
Storm is and will always be one of my favorite, if not my favorite, Marvel heroines of all time. Whenever my sister takes time to draw her I am ALWAYS impressed but this, this was at another level of awesome. The power that exudes from Storm in this picture is not only impressive but slightly terrifying, which is perfect because lightning is part-mystifying, part-horrifying. I HAD to share this. Period.
Ooh, I can’t wait to share two more pieces next week. Until then, this has been so much fun to once again showcase my sister’s work.
Remember, you can see more of her impressive pieces if you follow her on Instagram @UzuriArt.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day. May the Force be with you.
The X-Men are an awesome array of unique characters with incredible abilities. It’s only until recently that I’ve begun to actually care and pay attention to the different heroes and I have to say, they’re pretty awesome. Their movies aren’t as great or easy to follow (timeline-wise) as the MCU movies but if you like superheroes there are tons of heroes to get behind in this franchise. With this many cool characters to enjoy there will always be debate of who’s the best of the X-Men. And that’s why they are the topic of this week’s segment of Who’s Your Favorite? Here are the characters.
(My X-Men knowledge is limited so I will be listing the mainstream characters that I know.)
Cyclops has always been a cool character because of his interesting eye beam ability and the same can still be said from this most recent rendition of the character. While I don’t know much about the X-Men I knew who Cyclops was in my younger age and that shows the impact this hero had on me as a child.
Mystique is easily one of the coolest concepts of a character in the superhero world. The fact that she’s this shape-shifting alien-ish sort of being is remarkable awesome and it’s what makes her so cool. She’s also a great fighter as well. All in all, Mystique is pretty cool.
