My Evaluation of Episode 9 of ‘The Bad Batch’

The Bad Batch has had its ups and downs but yesterday’s episode was all pros, no cons, and now I’ve got to write about it.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

First off, and I’m going straight to the nitty-gritty with this evaluation, was that a first rendition of Snoke?

In Episode 4 of The Mandalorian‘s second season we saw Mando and co. go into an Imperial facility on Nevarro where they encountered blue tubes with the remains of what appeared to be a botched Snoke clone. I immediately began to suspect that these shows Filoni were producing were going to try to make the sequels make more sense. And no, these connections won’t ultimately fix the debacle that is the sequel trilogy (only an animated remake of the trilogy would fix that) but it can make the sequel trilogy a little bit better.

Now, in this episode, we’ve seen more experiment tubes, this time with green gook inside, and inside that green gook we managed to see a large alien that looked like a hybrid between a Grey and whatever Snoke is.

The Bad Batch season one, episode three recap: Replacements

This feels like an early rendition of what Snoke turned out to be but the real question is, what eventually succeeded in creating Snoke to the point where he could shoot lightning out of his fingers with a simple gesture?

I think we’re going to get this question answered in either this show or maybe the Ahsoka series.

And then there’s the other major bombshell of the show and why I truly believe this series is connected to The Book of Boba Fett. Yesterday’s episode answered the question of why Omega is deemed so special. Apparently she’s made of first-generation genetic material from Jango Fett, resulting in the notion that she is Boba’s sister.

Why would Filoni reveal to us that Fett now has a sister months before his show comes out? It’s not a coincidence and I am totally here for it. Plus, the show is roughly six months away and we haven’t gotten any casting news which means…

Here’s to hoping for her live-action debut in The Book of Boba Fett.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. May the Force be with you.

‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Has Finished Filming!

It’s happened you all. The Book of Boba Fett wrapped filming the other day…and nothing has leaked! It’s a miracle. The Mandalorian did the same thing and you remember how fun that turned out to be.

Temuera Morrison has even begun to provide some details on the show and what we can expect: “Well, we can’t say too much, but we’re going to see his past and where he’s been since The Empire Strikes Back. Somebody pointed out he’s been kind of stuck in this one place, and now’s the time to actually go back in time and check out his journey and find out more about him.”

I’m even more ready now!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day. May the Force be with you.

It’s Almost Easy To Forget We’re Getting ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ This December

Last December the second season of The Mandalorian ended but we got a secret spinoff announced; The Book of Boba Fett. It was a shocking announcement. Fans, including me, thought The Mandalorian had concluded and that this was the third season. Then we discovered that it is, in fact, a spinoff. Since learning about the news there has been little to anything said about The Book of Boba Fett. And that’s partly because Marvel Studios has completely distracted us with its two series, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. And then there has been the casting and production news for Kenobi and Andor which have also thrown us off the Book of Boba Fett scent.

But guess what, fellas? It’s still coming this Christmas and in several months we may start to finally get some casting news for The Book of Boba Fett and a trailer. Will we see The Bad Batch set up something for this Mandalorian spinoff? It’s very possible considering that we were introduced to Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian before she makes her animated debut in The Bad Batch.

Until then, here are some ideas of who I think could be in this show.

Even though she hasn’t been officially listed on the cast list on IMDb I think it’s pretty obvious that she’s going to be in The Book of Boba Fett.

‘The Book of Boba Fett’ and All of the Characters That Could Appear in the Show

Well, it’s official. The Book of Boba Fett is in fact another spin-off series stemming from The Mandalorian whose third season is currently in pre-production and will most likely be filmed early next year. So, now that we’re getting a true blue Boba Fett series next December (or Christmas Day) my brain is already beginning to cook up some pretty fantastic characters that could appear in the show. So, here goes my list of characters that could appear in The Book of Boba Fett.

Hondo Ohnaka

Why the 'Star Wars' Pirate Hondo Ohnaka Deserves Your Attention /Film

When it comes to famous Star Wars characters that only appear in the cartoons Hondo Ohnaka is one of them. Being the lovable rascal space pirate that he is, Ohnaka has made quite a few appearances in both The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels so…it’s only fitting that we would see him make his live-action debut in The Book of Boba Fett.

And it’s even more plausible because he is alive during this time (thankfully I know he’s around for a while because it just so happens you can meet an animatronic version of him at Galaxy’s Edge in Walt Disney World.)
