‘The Bad Batch’ Is Good But Kind of Boring

Last week’s episode of The Bad Batch left me very underwhelmed. I can honestly say that I was not as disinterested in this week’s plot as last week’s and yet, when the credits began to roll, I still felt a sense of emptiness.

This post will contain spoilers so continue reading at your own peril.

Ahsoka Tano and Kanan Jarrus Are the Perfect Jedi, Here’s Why

I’ve been wanting to do a post highlighting Kanan Jarrus and why I think he’s the perfect Jedi but then I watched The Clone Wars the other day and I realized that he and Ahsoka are both fine examples of the perfect Jedi. And it is two distinct scenes that I think of to prove this point.

SPOILERS FOR The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels AHEAD!

The Last Episodes of ‘The Clone Wars’ Are So Amazing!

So I decided to watch the last three episodes of The Clone Wars last night and I think I kind of forgot just how epic and fantastic the end of the seventh season truly is.

Revenge of the Sith is pretty much my favorite Star Wars movie because it is the darkest Star Wars movie. The tragedy of the Jedi and their instant fall as Emperor Palpatine has his diabolical plan realized is unlike any other event in Star Wars. It affects all Jedi and turns the story of Star Wars into something very serious and interesting, leading into the aftermath which sees the likes of Kanan, Ezra, Cal Kestis, Ahsoka, and Luke Skywalker having to navigate their way through a galaxy whose entire goal is to see them destroyed.

The Clone Wars is regarded as one of the best things to ever happen to Star Wars because it doesn’t take itself lightly. There is sadness weaved throughout the series and the last three episodes of The Clone Wars completely embrace the darkness of Revenge of the Sith in both tone and circumstance in a way that is astounding.

It’s a piece of the puzzle that I didn’t know I needed but now I can’t imagine not knowing about Ahsoka/Rex and how they both dealt with the events of Order 66.

It’s sad, it’s appropriately dark, and it actually makes Revenge of the Sith better.

It’s Christmas Eve!

I’m excited everyone. I’ve finished Christmas shopping with my family and now I’m sitting back, relaxing, and binge-watching all six episodes of the second season of His Dark Materials while preparing for Soul, Wonder Woman 1984, and lots and lots of (hopefully fantastic) NBA games.

And that’s while still participating on my The Clone Wars marathon, which leads into Star Wars: Rebels, and then The Mandalorian, and I probably won’t even be finished with that marathon before WandaVision hits on January 15.

There’s so much going on and I am just elated. It’s been such a boring year when it comes to entertainment but now it seems I just can’t keep up with all of the awesomeness.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. Happy Holidays!

I’m Watching ‘The Clone Wars’ Over Again

The Mandalorian may be over but my Star Wars adventure is far from complete. After the exciting inclusions to the series that featured direct nods to the cartoons which I have been faithfully watching over the years, I decided, once Season 2 had ended, to watch The Clone Wars over again and then Star Wars: Rebels.

I’m so excited to be nearly through the first season already. Seeing “Snips” at the time be so reckless (like her master, honestly) and unsure of herself is kind of wowing. She has grown so much over the years and when I think of her inclusion in The Mandalorian it’s just stunning to think how much she has matured and become a different person.

Plus, I just really love the banter between Anakin and Obi-Wan in this show. It’s really fun (and funny.) As I finish each season, I’ll update you and share my thoughts.

Until then, I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day. May the Force be with you.

‘The Mandalorian: Chapter 11’: An Absolute Brain-Buster

Each season of The Mandalorian has those few episodes that leave me stunned after its conclusion. This week was one of those weeks. This review isn’t going to be elaborate because honestly, I’m still recuperating from the awesomeness that I just witnessed. I will say this though.

The episode is undoubtedly one of the best to date. It was utter perfection with some literally tear-inducing surprises. Next week’s episode could be quite the doozy. Mando is fantastic. A recurring question that I had about Mando’s helmet-wearing rule has finally been answered in full. And yeah, the Frog aliens are some of my favorite in all of Star Wars.

This is the freaking WAY!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a spectacular day.
