The Jedi Are Terrible!

The Jedi are terrible. Yeah, I said it! Watching The Phantom Menace the other day, I watched the scene where Anakin Skywalker has to say goodbye to his mother, Shmi, and I found myself appalled by Qui-Gon’s actions.

The Jedi are so oblivious, guided by their “dogmatic” views which turned them into hypocritical monsters. Their fear of love and attachment led to Anakin’s eventual fall to the dark side.

Just think about what the Jedi did to him! The Jedi forced him to leave his mother, still a slave, behind to fend for herself. Qui-Gon didn’t at all think to use his powers or his status as a Jedi to free Shmi. He allowed her to remain a slave and eventually she, staying on Tatooine, would become a victim of the harshness of the planet.

Would Anakin have turned to the dark side if Qui-Gon hadn’t taken him from his mother? And how many other Jedi have succumbed to the darkness because of the harsh rules of the Jedi? It’s preposterous! It’s horrible. And the Jedi are to blame for so much.

I’m hoping Rey doesn’t follow the same path and creates a new Jedi Order with lighter rules. In fact, I hope she creates a new path, one that consists of the grey Jedi.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day.

‘The Rise of Skywalker’ May Introduce Palpatine At His Most Powerful

While going through old posts I have written I ran into this post I wrote before The Rise of Skywalker came out. And seeing it, I had to share it again because it’s actually hilarious. So, on that note, check this out.

The Rise of Skywalker trailer was packed with dazzling imagery and riveting voiceovers that imbued the trailer with emotion and chill-inducing happiness. But, beyond the very obvious things, we may observe in the trailer, I have discovered a very subtle yet potentially very important detail in this trailer.

Throughout certain sections of the trailer, we see lightning pervading the clips,

whether we’re talking about the clip that depicts the throne room,

Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Forty-Nine

Poe Dameron had been waiting for this day but didn’t believe it would ever come. Now, behind the controls of the foreign craft, he felt invincible.

He gazed at the world that had once been home to New Alderaan. Here, his first love, Admiral Sterk, had perished, now forever buried in the rocks that made up the capital. The thought was both angering and reaffirming for his determination to see young Ora’s plan realized.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked to find Trish gazing at him. Continue reading Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Forty-Nine

Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Forty-Four

Ben Solo had not thought about his past in a while. At least, he tried to forget his earlier days as an agent of the dark side existed. But Ora’s questions, her eyes that stared at him with such yearning for truth, as if willing him to say that everything her mother had told her was a lie, it had seared into his very being, reminding him of the ugliness and the regret of his younger years.

He didn’t want Ora to become like him. He had to make sure she was protected. That she wouldn’t use anger as a vent for her power. To use hatred to let herself be known, or heard. He wanted to let her know that everything would be okay. That the loss of her mother would not hurt her but help her. But he also knew, deep down, that he wouldn’t always be with her, and that was when she’d have the hardest time. Continue reading Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Forty-Four

Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Twenty-Six

R2-D2 was quite an impressive little droid, Ora was beginning to learn. C-3PO, on the other hand, was beginning to quickly grate on her nerves.

He constantly rattled on about seemingly insignificant facts and his entire story since the old days before the beginning of the Clone Wars that her mother used to tell her about. At first, she was intrigued and listened attentively. And then her interest in his talking backfired as his storytelling refused to cease. BB-8 and R2-D2 seemed to share her exasperation as they whistled and beeped amongst themselves the longer he spoke.

And throughout all of this, she couldn’t help continuing to think about how she had failed. How the powerful weapon that she found on Ptdne hadn’t come to her aid. All of the Jedi ghosts and the Sith spirits, they had been there, looking at her, talking to her. And when she needed them most, they disappeared, leaving her at the mercy of The Whisper’s power.

Why? What did she have to prove?

“Will you excuse me?” she suddenly said, rising from her seat. Continue reading Episode X: The Reckoning: Chapter Twenty-Six
