Will We See a Version of Party Thor in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’?

Last week’s episode of What If…? showcased Thor in a bit of a different light as we saw him avoiding the responsibilities of being Prince of Asgard and instead he went full-blown teenager-party mode on everyone.

When the episode ended I couldn’t help thinking about Thor: Love and Thunder and how we may see a very party-centric Thor in that movie.

We can’t forget he’s now with the Guardians of the Galaxy who are known to participate in some galactic shenanigans and with his new look,

Thor: Love and Thunder Filming Wraps, Chris Hemsworth Reveals on Instagram | Entertainment News

it’s very clear that this version of Thor will probably have at least a little bit of a good time. Could we see a bit of that Party Thor vibe crossover into Thor: Love and Thunder? Or will Gorr the God Butcher (played by Christian Bale) arrive before Thor can have too much fun?

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Today’s ’What If…’ Was So Much Fun!

So, the last four weeks of What If…? were very dour. From having to watch the OG Avengers being killed off to seeing Doctor Strange lose the love of his life over and over again to even last week, watching Killmonger live up to his name was just…shocking, to say the least.

So, this week’s episode was a welcome respite from the darker tones and was just plain fun.

Chris Hemsworth’s return as Thor was hilarious and don’t even get me started with Loki! Oh my goodness, I absolutely LOVED Loki in this episode and I’m sure Hiddleston had an absolute blast playing him.

All in all, the entire objective of this episode was to just have fun and that I did. And then…that ending happened!

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. Next up, Star Wars: Visions.

I’m Doing Another Marvel Marathon

Well, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is going to be in theaters a little less than two weeks from now and that means it’s time to do another Marvel marathon. That means I’ve got to get through twenty four movies in that time. It’s a bit daunting (especially that I’ve seen some of the Marvel films recently) but this is a personal task that’s always fun to perform before a new Marvel movie.

After starting the marathon on Wednesday I’ve just gotten through the franchise’s first phase and it was quite an interesting journey.

Iron Man

I don’t watch the first Iron Man film often so watching this movie was kind of fantastic. Yes, Terence Howard is still a terrible War Machine but that’s really the only con of the movie. The film is a perfect origin story for the character, the relationship between Tony and Pepper is super cute, and the nods to his journey’s end in Endgame definitely made me a bit wistful.

It was even exciting to see how much the Ten Rings organization factored into the film, especially before Shang-Chi.

All in all, I rekindled my appreciation for this film and I will definitely be raising it in my next Marvel movie ranking.

‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Is Set To Be a Full-Blown Romance

I mean, it’s in the title. Thor: Love and Thunder, according to Taika Waititi, is going to be a full-blown love story which sounds intriguing, to say the least.

Marvel Studios has tackled a lot of genres but romance hasn’t been one of the franchise’s focal points. There have been some great love stories in the franchise; Tony and Pepper, Steve and Peggy, Wanda and Vision. But that’s honestly about it. That’s why I think it was kind of surprising to everyone that Loki featured a controversial but undoubtedly riveting romance between Loki and Sylvie considering that Marvel doesn’t usually do romance. But it was a nice choice for Loki’s story considering that we’ve already had so many years of content with him, how were the writers going to give him a new motivation outside of wanting to backstab everyone in sight and try to become king? Let him fall in love. Brilliant!

And now it seems that Marvel Studios is ready to tackle the subject of love again with Thor: Love and Thunder which is already looking to be a real treat. Jane Foster will become Mighty Thor, Valkyrie is the ruler of Asgard, Thor is hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Lady Sif is back to reprise her role in a Marvel movie for the first time since 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, and Christian Bale is making his Marvel debut as Gorr the God Butcher. The pieces are in place for a great story but the question remains: where will the film’s love story lie?

I already predicted two years ago when Thor: Love and Thunder was announced that the film would probably feature a love triangle between Jane Foster, Thor, and Valkyrie. But now that we know Sif is going to be in the story as well, maybe even she will be added to the equation.

As of right now we know that Jane and Thor parted on somewhat bad terms. They “mutually dumped” one another, meaning they may not be in the mood for rekindling their romantic relationship. In steps Valkyrie whose feelings for Thor have been muted so far but she may have different feelings about Mighty Thor. And Jaimie Alexander has already proclaimed on her Instagram a while back that, considering Valkyrie is looking for a queen, she wants to be said queen. So, yes. There is bound to be lots of love and thunder in this movie and I’m very intrigued to see how Waititi handles a love story.

I can’t wait to eventually see the teaser.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

Will We See More MCU Character Variants in Season 2 of ‘Loki’?

It’s been roughly two weeks since Loki ended and I’m still finding a way to talk about the series almost every single day. I know I should move on and get myself prepared for What If…? but just bear with me for a little bit longer. I’l be running out of Loki-inspired posts soon…I think.

As I sat around thinking about, you guessed it, Loki, I began to wonder if the second season could give us even more variants of the title character or maybe variants of other characters.

For one, I would love to see a more accurate interpretation of Lady Loki in the second season. Even though I loved Sylvie and thought she was a perfect partner for Loki’s God of Mischief in the series’ first season I’ve always wanted to see Lady Loki in the MCU.

what is bohner if not peter maximoff persevering — I just want to know who looked at the mysterious...

You know, the Lady Loki who’s just undeniably naughty. She could be that extra monkey wrench in Loki’s mission to save the universe that would provide him another obstacle against himself, essentially.

Maybe this Lady Loki is the right-hand woman of Kang the Conqueror like Loki was Thanos’ pawn. That would make her a formidable foe. Or maybe she’s just another antagonist trying to take control of the galaxy. All in all, I think we need to see more female variants of Loki and introducing Lady Loki would be the perfect way to do that.

And here’s a thought. What if Loki met a variant of Thor in the second season? First off, that would ensure that Loki and Thor would be back together again which is something I desperately need to happen considering that Loki is very much alive and back in the MCU for what feels like a good amount of time.

And no, this Thor variant doesn’t even have to be played by Chris Hemsworth.

If the first season of Loki showed us anything, it showed us that Marvel Studios can now get very creative in a way they couldn’t in the past. That first season provided multiple actors a chance to play Loki so why shouldn’t we have a new Thor? Here are a few Thors from the comics that could be a great fit for Season 2 of Loki.

My Ten Favorite Loki Moments

Loki is honestly one of the greatest Marvel characters ever brought to the big screen, even when he was a sneaky villain who constantly did infuriating things he was so likable. After recently watching a Youtube video ranking Loki’s best moments I decided I might as well make my own list. So here it is. My ten favorite Loki moments.

10. “Get help.”

Thor: Ragnarok's "get help" scene was thought up by star Chris Hemsworth

While the movies established Loki and Thor as brothers they were portrayed as feuding brothers for most of their time together in the MCU but Thor: Ragnarok did give us a glimpse into their lives as children. The “Get help” is not only funny but so cute. I wish we could’ve had more time with them doing brotherly things but maybe we still can.
