Captain America: Secret War (TWENTY-NINE)

Colonel James Rhodes walked down the driveway of a stunning mansion in Miami, Florida, the sweltering heat of the bright sun bearing down on him. Palm trees swayed in the wind and beautiful flowers filling the air with a sweet scent lined the white pebbly pathway that led to the front door of the mansion.

Rhodes knocked on the creamy white door gilded with golden lions and crests and waited several seconds before he heard a voice behind the door. When the door opened Tony Stark was standing before him wearing a black robe and holding a fruity cocktail.

Captain America: Secret War (TWENTY-SIX)

The very next morning news channels around the world broadcast an unprecedented press conference featuring Dr. Frost amidst the most powerful leaders of the world announcing that she was now the dictator of the entire globe.

Many thought it was a joke. Others did not. Colonel Rhodes and Vision were two of these individuals. Gazing at the television screen with dour expressions they watched as the terrorist proudly boasted how she would change the world for the better, blah blah blah.

Rhodes looked at Vision. “Can you believe this?”

Colonel James Rhodes and Vision had been summoned to The Conference Room where Secretary Ross and several other officials were seated as holograms across the conference table. Rhodes looked at Vision who returned his glance. They knew trouble was coming simply by the perpetual scowl on Ross’s face.

A Six-Year Poster Evolution: War Machine

War Machine is easily one of the coolest Avengers simply because he’s like Iron Man, on steroids. He has so many weapons at his disposal and Colonel Rhodes is also just a fun character to watch interacting with the other superheroes.

War Machine’s first character poster was in Iron Man 3 and I love the suit. The red, white, and blue for his new alias Iron Patriot is so well designed and with the embers surrounding him he looks all the more epic.
