So, the last four weeks of What If…? were very dour. From having to watch the OG Avengers being killed off to seeing Doctor Strange lose the love of his life over and over again to even last week, watching Killmonger live up to his name was just…shocking, to say the least.
So, this week’s episode was a welcome respite from the darker tones and was just plain fun.
Chris Hemsworth’s return as Thor was hilarious and don’t even get me started with Loki! Oh my goodness, I absolutely LOVED Loki in this episode and I’m sure Hiddleston had an absolute blast playing him.
All in all, the entire objective of this episode was to just have fun and that I did. And then…that ending happened!
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day. Next up, Star Wars: Visions.
What If…? continues to surprise me on a weekly basis and this latest episode really took me for a spin.
It focuses on Killmonger and honestly, I thought this series would turn him into a hero. It didn’t. In fact, it solidified Killmonger’s stance as a villain…and I LOVED IT!
This episode surprised me at every turn and wow, was it entertaining. When it concluded I was like, “Wait, what?!”
As I always say, if you haven’t watched this series because you think it isn’t necessary or worth the time trust me, it’s just as good as everything Marvel Studios has been giving us over the years. In fact, it’s actually kind of brilliant.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a tremendous day.
Marvel Studios just won’t stop giving us fantastic content and the latest episode of What If…? was both terrifying and hilarious at the same time. Last week’s episode is still my personal favorite but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the episode.
I loved that it kept subverting my expectations all the way to the very end while managing to inject enough humor into the story to keep it from being too traumatizing.
Honestly, I’m so glad we’re getting a second season because this show has been fantastic week after week.
I thank you for reading and I hope you have a remarkable day.
I knew this week’s episode of What If…? was going to feature Doctor Strange Supreme a.k.a Evil Doctor Strange but what I did not realize was that Marvel Studios was about to reach into my chest, take my heart, and rip it to pieces with a 30-minute story that honestly felt like a miniature movie.
The past three episodes have been fun to watch but they did feel a bit rushed, specifically last week’s episode which reached a conclusion that felt like a sudden stop after a compelling previous twenty-five minutes. This episode does not suffer from that. No. It has a tragic beginning, an intriguing middle, and a what-the-heck! ending.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings dropped a cool two-minute featurette that highlights the film’s action sequences and styles. So excited for this!
The film’s review embargo has been lifted as well so the Rotten Tomatoes score is out and with 51 reviews it sits at an eye-widening 94%. In fact, the score has literally gone up since I started writing this post. I may have to revise this section of the post again before I publish this. Wow!
With that score it’s regarded as the second best Marvel film behind only Black Panther (96%) and is currently tied with Avengers: Endgame and Iron Man. Oh snap!
