I’ve, lately, been on a serious X-Men binge-watch session and with two of the recent X-Men titles dropping on Disney+, it seems that Disney is starting to highlight the heroic mutants and their stories in the vast universe that encompasses Marvel Studios, Star Wars, the Avatar franchise, and now even the Peter Jackson franchise.
There have been plenty of X-Men movies over the last two decades but of these films which is your favorite? Here’s the list.
In 2000, the X-Men were brought to the big screen in rewarding fashion, delivering a story and ensemble cast that felt true to the characters and the comic book material. Plus, with Ian McKellen playing Magneto and Patrick Stewart playing Professor X, it was destined to be awesome. Continue reading What’s Your Favorite X-Men Movie?
Considering that I’ve been watching so many X-Men movies lately I had to revisit this post for this week’s Who’s Your Favorite? Enjoy!
(My X-Men knowledge is still somewhat limited so I will be listing the characters I am most familiar with.)
Cyclops has always been a cool character because of his interesting eye beam ability and the same can still be said from this most recent rendition of the character. While I never knew that much about the X-Men I still knew who Cyclops was when I was a kid and that shows the impact this hero had on me as a child. I can’t wait to see who will bring him to life this time around.
Nightcrawler is pretty cool, actually. His teleporting abilities are pretty fantastic but it’s when he turns into a deadly wrecking machine that he really gets his chance to shine. I’ve only seen him in the newer X-Men movies so I’m interested to eventually see him in the older X-Men films as well.
Mystique is easily one of the coolest concepts of a character in the superhero world. The fact that she’s this shape-shifting alien-ish sort of being is remarkable and it’s what makes her so intriguing. I like to think of her as the blue Black Widow.
It should be interesting to see what sort of cameos we may see as she shapeshifts into current or previously deceased MCU characters when she appears in later films.

Marvel has made plenty of entertaining films that have left fans of all ages clamoring for more but there are those rare gems in the franchise that are truly outstanding movies. Marvel is heralded for its incredible use of humor and Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: Ragnarok is among the funniest installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But what makes them so great isn’t just the numerous amount of jokes but the truly enjoyable storyline and characters. Both of these films with its laugh-out-loud humor and vibrant colors brought a standard to the Marvel’s funnier installments and have become ultimate fan favorites.
That’s why, for this week’s Who’s Your Favorite? I decided to make this the topic. Here’s a closer look at each film’s similar aspects. Continue reading ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ or ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’: Which Movie Is Your Favorite?
Why do we love Marvel movies? Is it the storylines, the phenomenal action, or is it the superheroes? It’s probably the superheroes, right? But what is it about these heroes that we love so much? Of course, we love their superpowers but if a hero looks wack then that superhero’s going to have a hard time grasping our undivided attention. And that’s why for the next few week’s segments of Who’s Your Favorite? I’m tackling the topic of outfits through Marvel, Star Wars, and DC Comics. I hope you enjoy! 🙂
(This post will stick to Marvel heroines that are only in the MCU. That means no X-Men or Deadpool characters.)
The Ancient One
The Ancient One isn’t awesome just because she’s a powerful sorcerer but her yellow robes make her stand out in the most appealing way.
And the hood’s pretty awesome too.
Nakia is of the River tribe, hence her green clothing. Her Wakandan warrior garment is feminine yet fierce and perfectly represents Nakia in the most exciting way.
And for formal events, she’s breathtaking in this beautiful dress that’s still vibrantly representative of the Wakandan river tribe.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is the latest superhero movie to arrive in theaters and with Marvel releasing a new tag team duo with Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp what is there not to love? But which of the two heroes may be your favorite? Well, that’s what I’m here to ask you all on this week’s segment of Who’s Your Favorite? Enjoy.
Ant-Man is awesome because he’s a regular dude who just so happened to become Ant-Man and it’s truly what makes him so lovable. He’s all of us and so when he does things like becomes Giant-Man or helps save the world he doesn’t handle it in a way that maybe Captain America would. He’s just as shocked at his abilities as we are and that’s why he’s such a fantastic hero.
We have seen his ups and downs (literally) but he has managed to prevail over every obstacle because he is a hero worthy of being an Avenger. And he’s hilarious too. I’m a definite Ant-Man fan. 🙂

As you may know, there are four prominent Chris’s in Hollywood, all of which have starred in superhero movies; Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, and Chris Pine. These four Chris’s have been in our eyeballs in some of the biggest blockbusters of all time for years and yet everyone has their favorite Chris. That’s why I thought it would be the perfect topic for this week’s Who’s Your Favorite?
Before Thor in 2011 Chris Hemsworth wasn’t a household name. The Australian actor, however, would immediately rise to Hollywood fame as he took a superhero popular among Marvel fans and brought him to the big screen in a faithful adaptation of the character. Plus, plenty of people were captivated by the actor’s impressive physique, which has been on full display in his various shirt off scenes throughout nearly every movie that he has ever been in.
Now, eight years later, he’s still providing people plenty of joy with his role as Thor in the Marvel movies and his recent role in Men in Black: International. Continue reading Who’s Your Favorite Chris?
