When The Force Awakens arrived J.J Abrams had one thing in mind; make iconic characters as lovable as the Original Trilogy characters. Rey, Finn, and Commander Poe Dameron were born from this goal and we did fall in love with these heroes who were doing whatever they could to stop the forces of evil. Now, nearly four years later, the finale to their story is fast approaching and Finn and Poe are at the helm of this Skywalker saga finale.
They have become more than determined allies, they have become best friends and I can’t wait to see this friendship evolve throughout The Rise of Skywalker. So, I thought it would be great to have them be the topic of this week’s Who’s Your Favorite? On that note, let’s take a closer look at their journeys so far. Star Wars is heavily wrapped around the basis of family and it’s Father’s Day! So, I’m asking you my fellow Star Wars fans, who’s your favorite Star Wars father? Here is my list of the galactic dads of the franchise.
Galen Erso is one of the secret heroes in the Star Wars universe as he purposely sabotaged the Death Star to eventually get blown up. He risked his life creating the diabolical plan and had to sacrifice so much to get it done. While he isn’t on the poster of Rogue One he was easily one of the film’s biggest contributors.
Darth Vader just might be one of the most iconic movie fathers of all time. He may have played the part of the villain for the majority of the original trilogy but through all of those wires and that cold exterior was a heart of gold that couldn’t be denied. He helped end the reign of the Empire as he killed Palpatine and even though he died he perished doing what was right and that is why he’s such a great character.

Lightsabers. They are part of the wonderful mystique of the Star Wars franchise. And one of the best things to see in these films is the infamous lightsaber duels. From the first one ever created in A New Hope to the latest one in The Last Jedi, lightsaber duels help make these movies even more enjoyable.
So, for this week’s Who’s Your Favorite? I decided to bring forth one of my favorite things in movie history; lightsaber duels. Enjoy.
(In this post I will not include the jaw-dropping Geonosis battle sequence from Attack of the Clones or the incredible Praetorian guard scene from The Last Jedi considering that those scenes are not technically lightsaber duels.)

It’s Mother’s Day and that means it’s of course time to celebrate the wonderful women in our lives; our mothers. On a beautiful holiday such as this, it’s fun to watch a good movie with our mothers and so, for this week’s topic of Who’s Your Favorite?, I’m asking you all which Star Wars movie do you enjoy watching with your mother?
1. The Phantom Menace
The Phantom Menace is a fun film filled with adventure. It’s also one of the few Star Wars movies to have a mother as part of the story which is, of course, Shmi. Her encouragement for Anakin is heartwarming and clearly, on Mother’s Day, one of the highlights of the film.
2. Attack of the Clones
Want to watch something a little more romantic with your mother? Pop in Attack of the Clones and you’ll get romance in abundance as this film centers around Anakin and Padme’s infamous love story, mixed with the incredible action scenes, turning this into a good film for any casual viewer.

The teaser for The Rise of Skywalker came out two days ago and it was amazing, wowing fans left and right with its stunning clips, it’s chill-inducing music, and that jaw-dropping return of the iconic Emperor Palpatine. There were so many incredible moments in this teaser that I know it’s going to be tough trying to pick a favorite part but I’ll list some of the best moments. Enjoy!
Seeing Rey Again
The last time we saw Rey she was on the Millennium Falcon with Leia holding the broken halves of Luke’s lightsaber. Now she returns, with that same lightsaber in her hand, preparing for her imminent showdown with her archnemesis, Kylo Ren.
The Jaw-Dropping Flip
Rey’s power has doubled since last we saw her and it is fully displayed in this brilliant moment from the trailer as Rey flips over Kylo’s ship. Wow, I can’t wait to see this clip play out.
