Loki has always been one of the crowning achievements of the MCU, but that season finale of the second season is honestly one of the best-written season finales I have ever seen. And I’m not even close to exaggerating.
The way the season finale managed to wrap up every storyline presented in both seasons so spectacularly, providing Loki a character arc unlike any other in the MCU, I’m beyond baffled at how good it was. The visuals, the incredible use of time in a way that was comprehensible, Loki’s character development, I am still reeling from what I witnessed last night.
Tom Hiddleston has always delivered a powerful performance as Loki in the MCU and is oftentimes the most enjoyable aspect of the stories he touches. For example, Thor and Thor: The Dark World. The love he has poured into this character for over a decade, culminating in a season finale that was truly off the charts makes me so happy. I can’t wait to watch this finale and its stunning visual achievement over and over again, because the visuals toward the end of that finale are truly mind-blowingly epic.
I thank you for reading, and I hope you have a spectacular day.
Oh my glorious goodness… it was perfection!

It’s become a thing to dogpile on the criticism of the MCU these days. I agree that the movies have been uneven in quality, mostly just mediocre instead of truly bad, but the Disney + offerings have been consistently good, in my opinion. I liked the second season of Loki even more than the first.
