The Ten Most Kid-Friendly Marvel Movies

Marvel has become a wonderful franchise that people of all ages can enjoy. Some Marvel films are catered to an older audience, while others may appeal to younger fans. But which of these movies is the most kid-friendly of the bunch? That’s what I’m here to share with you. Enjoy!

Ant-Man

While Ant-Man is catered to a younger audience with a tamer storyline, a villain that isn’t too scary, and an actual child who plays a small but very important role in the film, this movie can also have some rather shocking profanity throughout it. There’s a balance between kid-friendly themes as well as more adult-level jokes and situations but overall it’s a fun film for the whole family.

 Ant-Man and the Wasp

Like Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp is a fun movie that caters heavily to children. It isn’t dark and gloomy like some of the other Marvel films, and, in fact, it has less profanity than its predecessor. It’s simply a fun movie that’ll have your kids bouncing in their seats with joy.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

I think it only makes sense that the film that most resembles Spy Kids 3 would be on this list of kid-friendly movies. There’s some cursing and some jokes that are a tad bit adult but overall, this is a colorful, zany family-friendly adventure that is exceptionally enjoyable for children.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy is colorful, entertaining, and has a whole bunch of characters one can’t help but enjoy. While the Ant-Man series won’t expose your children to a whole lot of profanity the same cannot be said for the Guardians films. These characters say plenty of foul words but besides that, it’s totally suitable for children.

The Avengers

When the world needs saving, there’s no team better for the job than Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, The Avengers. This movie is packed with action from the beginning and doesn’t contain a lot of dark themes, which makes it the perfect superhero movie for children. Your child will be able to see all of his or her favorite superheroes unite to save the world and you won’t even have to worry about the content. That’s a win-win scenario.

Avengers: Endgame

Sad, yes. Heartbreaking, absolutely. However, Avengers: Endgame is designed with a larger audience in mind. The darker tones presented in Infinity War are eradicated replaced with a livelier story that should have your children beaming with joy. There’s barely any romance in the film. Just classic comradery, delivering a powerful finale that will bring your children’s favorite Marvel superheroes to the party.

Black Panther

Black Panther has the darkest tone of any film on this list but beyond the adult themes and darker storytelling lies a hero and a story that children will love. From the magical world of Wakanda to the fantastic characters and action scenes, Black Panther will have your kids saying, “Wakanda Forever!” as quickly as they might say, “May the Force be with you.”

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is as about as kid-friendly as you can get for a superhero movie. There’s barely any cursing, no heavy romantic plots, the villain isn’t too scary, and any adult jokes will completely fly over your little ones’ heads. Captain Marvel is the perfect superhero film for children.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

With barely any cursing and a family-friendly story with only a few scary moments, (but there’s nothing scarier in this movie than you’d see in a Disney film,) Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a fantastic ride for children.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming is probably the most kid-friendly Marvel movie there is, as it follows the story of, well, a teenager who wants to become an Avenger. What can be more kid-friendly than that? The movie never becomes too dark or scary, and the profanity is at the lowest level of nearly all of the Marvel films, expectedly. This movie will make children happy from beginning to end, and that’s always awesome.

So, after long and hard deliberation, I feel that these are Marvel’s ten most kid-friendly films.

I thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day.

  1. Hi thanks for putting this list up. I think it depends on your stance on what you believe kids should be viewing. Many marvel movies have high violence and swear words. Another resource is common sense media. Org. I’m not connected with them. They say 10+ for most of the marvel action movies.
