Is the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer A Spoiler for the ‘Black Panther’ Movie?

I watched the new Avengers trailer yesterday a bunch of times and as I took time to think about it yesterday evening I thought to myself, is this trailer spoiling the events of Black Panther? Here’s a great example of that.

They waited for Thor: Ragnarok to come out before they brought out this Avengers trailer, and for good reason. While Thor: Ragnarok didn’t provide any major changes to the overall story of these Marvel movies like Captain America: Civil War, SPOILER ALERT, Thor’s missing eye and Loki secretly obtaining the Tesseract were significant spoilers that had to be seen before this Avengers was able to be released.

So does that mean Black Panther’s movie is that outside of the realm of the Avengers and so forth that they don’t mind showing the outcome of King T’Challa’s world before the movie even comes out?

My Recap of the Latest Episodes of ‘Survivor: Season 35’

I haven’t written any recaps on Survivor: Season 35 because the episodes, until last night, have been pretty predictable with lackluster endings but finally there was a switcheroo and I’m going to write my opinion on it. Enjoy.

Ben Gets An Immunity Idol

I loved how Ben ended up obtaining his immunity idol after the reward challenge in the first episode. He had gone to read his loved one’s letter up in the woods and fate led him to that clue for the immunity idol. That’s some classic Survivor stuff right there.

Judging from the way everything’s shaking out for Ben I’m predicting he’s going to get to the final three and he’s going to be the one to win this season of Survivor.

Destroying The Core Seven

One of my favorite things in Survivor is seeing comfortable people get the seat taken out from underneath them and that’s exactly what happened to Ryan, Chrissy, and J.P in the first episode. They were sitting pretty, completely confident, even though this is Survivor, that they’re pact to get to the final seven was going to happen. What were they thinking? They were utterly blinded by their power in the game and got an ultimate slap in the face by the new majority.

When J.P. went home I was beaming with joy at the shock on Ryan and Chrissy’s faces. It was a fantastic blindside and I enjoyed every moment of it.

The Second Episode

Unfortunately the next episode went right back to being boring like the others. There were interesting ideas thrown around in that episode, like the new core 5 possibly voting out Ben in what would’ve been the ultimate blindside. Unfortunately they didn’t and that was very disappointing.

I’m the type of Survivor fan who wants to see a season full of memorable players and bold moves. This season really doesn’t have that. The first big move was voting out J.P but why stop there? Don’t play safe. Make the season interesting and have two stunning blindsides happen in a row.

I was glad that there were two episodes of Survivor. I just wish they were a little better than they were.

I thank you for reading my recap and I hope you have a wonderful day.

The ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Teaser Has Been Released!

So I was watching Good Morning America this wonderful Wednesday morning and out of nowhere it was announced that the Avengers: Infinity War trailer would debut and when it did I went a little bonkers. I’m still losing it in fact as I write this now but no more chitchat, we’ve all been waiting for this moment and so here it is. Enjoy!!!!!!

Okay, first of all, this trailer is beyond amazing. The music is simply incredible and gives me chills every time I watch it. (I’ve watched this trailer six times already.) The situations look downright epic. And there are so many superheroes in this teaser!!! Iron Man with Doctor Strange! Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy! Spider-Man with his Iron-Spidey Suit. It’s just too much awesomeness in one trailer. I’m going to try to calmly talk about everything that I noticed in this teaser but that’s going to be hard considering how amazing this trailer was. Okay, here goes.

The Top Five Scenes in ‘Star Wars’

Star Wars movies are chock full of memorable moments, from The Phantom Menace all the way to the franchise’s latest addition, Rogue One. That’s a lot of incredible scenes to choose from but I’m here to narrow it down to the five scenes that have made me the happiest. Enjoy!

5. Obi-Wan/Jango Fett Over Geonosis

I know the prequel trilogy isn’t very popular, and for good reason, but not everything about the prequels was terrible. In fact, those three films had a lot of very cool stuff woven throughout the story and this scene happened to be one of those cool things.

I was a child who grew up on the prequels so before I knew anything about Luke, Leia, and Han I was watching the story of Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme. Even when I was a little girl I didn’t like The Attack of the Clones very much but this scene was easily one of my favorites. First, I love Jango Fett’s ship, Slave I. It’s clearly one of the best ships in Star Wars. Secondly, there aren’t a lot of one-on-one dogfights in Star Wars and this one is so awesome! I especially love when he releases those special bombs from the Slave I, I forgot what they’re called, and they caused all of that massive destruction that Obi-Wan had to avoid. It was, and still is, so much fun to watch.

Princess Leia: How One Woman Created A Generation of Heroines in ‘Star Wars’

Star Wars is a franchise that has lived and transcended generations. The cultural phenomenon began way back in 1977 and now, after 40 years, the excitement for this seemingly unending franchise is even stronger. The question is, what was it that made this science-fiction space opera resonate with so many people? Was it the lore of the story, was it the music, was it the characters? I believe there was a collaboration of all of these different aspects but the characters were a huge part of why A New Hope 40 years ago became such a global hit.

You had Luke, the simple farm boy who wanted to explore the stars and follow in the footsteps of his “dead” father. Then there was Obi-Wan “Ben” Kenobi, the wise mentor. You had the rascally Han Solo, a scoundrel at first meeting but a hero at heart.

And finally you have Princess Leia, which this post is dedicated to.

At the time when A New Hope came out if you thought about the definition of a princess you would only think about a damsel in distress stuck in a tower. Princess Leia rewrote that narrative. Princess Leia didn’t run screaming from the stormtroopers, she shot at them. Princess Leia didn’t whimper in the face of Darth Vader, she patronized him. This was pretty much unheard of in that day and age of movies.

My Awesome Magazine Collection

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is coming out in less than three weeks and yesterday I suddenly got a fabulous idea. After getting my latest issue from Entertainment Weekly last week featuring The Last Jedi I decided I wanted to head down memory lane and look at the Entertainment Weekly issue I obtained two years ago featuring The Force Awakens. What was going to be a simple trot into the past ended up turning into a fantastic excavation of all of the magazines I have collected featuring upcoming Star Wars and Marvel movies over the past two years. It was so mind blowing and exciting in fact that I wanted to share it with you. Enjoy!

My Marvel Movie Collection

Magazine1

These issues are all in alphabetical order and date back to December 2015. Can you believe that?! So many Marvel movies have come out in that time. You’ve got first looks at Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange. There’s Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor and Black Panther. I mean…it’s just amazing. What was even better about rediscovering all of these covers is the fact that I forgot nearly 75% of these fantastic issues.

I can’t wait until I get my Entertainment Weekly issue featuring a first look at Avengers: Infinity War. That’s going to be a wonderful day.

So out of these eight marvelous covers I broke it down to the four I like the best. Here they are.
